Facts on the Ground (FOG) at Michigan

Facts on the Ground at the University of Michigan (FOG at Michigan) is a student group dedicated to "clearing the fog" of disinformation on campus related to the Israel-Palestine conflict and the 2023 - present Israel-Hamas war through educational initiatives that foster diverse, productive, and fact-based dialogue.

Coalition Objectives

Equip Students with Facts: Debunk disinformation surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict and Israel-Hamas war through educational platforms.

Political Advocacy: Collaborate with prospective and current student government candidates and officers, grassroots organizations, and policymakers to ensure that representatives—at all levels of government—understand and address the ever-growing antisemitic climate on college campuses.

Stop the Spread of Harmful Disinformation: Combat antisemitism, islamophobia, and bigotry of all kinds by preventing the spread of disinformation that aims to compromise students’ opinions and incite division on campuses.

Foster Meaningful Dialogue: Cultivate an informed and empowered community grounded in factual debate, providing a space for nuance, complexity, and diverse coalitions of students.
